Fuel and fleet greening

On March 7, a discussion of representatives of the industry and experts "Greening the fuel and car fleet" was held in the EU House, organized by the Latvian Climate Neutrality Cluster and the Latvian Renewable Energy Federation. In the discussion, industry representatives emphasized that currently there is almost no legislation in Latvia that would promote the reduction of emissions in transport. This increases the threat both to the transport sector itself and to other strategically important sectors for Latvia. The European Commission has initiated an infringement procedure against Latvia because the Renewable Energy Directive has not been implemented.
